City Year recruits 18-to-25-year-olds for 11 months of full-time volunteering as near-peer role models, mentors and tutors in schools in deprived areas. We raise the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds and give our volunteers the skills to make a success of their lives after City Year.
Volunteering Matters, formerly known as CSV, is a national charity leading UK volunteering in policy and practice. They inspire committed and ambitious volunteers to power change in their communities by delivering targeted, innovative and professional programmes nationwide.
Student Hubs believes students have the power and potential to shape a better world. We have a growing network of ‘Hubs’ in universities that increase student involvement in social action and ensure these efforts are effective and sustainable. At a national level, we also run the UK’s leading student conferences and deliver the UK’s largest student internship programme focused within the third sector.
National Citizen Service is a personal and social development programme for young people. It invites all Year 11 and Year 12 students to be the best they can be, whatever their background and ambition. NCS provides them with the opportunity to develop the tools, skills and belief to unlock their potential and make their mark in their communities.
Year Here is a postgraduate fellowship that challenges Britain’s brightest talents to a year of tackling society’s toughest problems. In partnership with leading social sector partners such as Citizens UK, Teach First and O2 Think Big, we give Year Here fellows; high-achieving graduates and young people at the start of their careers – volunteering experiences at the frontline of Britain’s social sector.

Envision‘s 10-month long programmes help young people to design their own local community projects tackling issues ranging from street crime to climate change. Envision supports 16-19 year olds from over 130 schools and colleges in Birmingham, Bristol and London.
vInspired creates inspiring ways for young people to reach their potential through volunteering and social action. Young people are at the heart of everything it does: they inspire and shape its diverse programmes and innovative digital services. So that they can make a difference to the things they care about in ways that are right for them – whether that is through online campaigns, volunteering with a charity, or by setting up their own social action project. And as a result, they build up their skills, confidence and readiness for work.
UpRising is a leadership programme for 19-25 year olds. Our mission is to open pathways to power for talented young adults from diverse backgrounds, and to equip them with the knowledge, networks, skills, and confidence to transform their communities in Britain and beyond for the better.
The Diana Award has recognised 39,000 ordinary young people who have made an extraordinary difference to their community. But receiving a Diana Award is only the beginning. Through the Diana Network and our anti-bullying and mentoring programmes, we empower, engage, and encourage young people to keep up the good work!

The Challenge Network is the UK’s leading charity for building a more integrated society. We work on a local level to connect people together across all ages and walks of life. We run youth and community programmes that have the central aim of mixing diverse groups of people with each other.
The Key – Your Potential Unlocked has been helping young people to unlock their own potential for 20 years.
Every year thousands of young people get together as teams of friends to ‘Think’, ‘Plan’, ‘Do’ and ‘Review’ their own Key projects. They are each supported by a trained facilitator and work on their projects whenever and wherever they choose. Citizenship Foundation has motivated more than a quarter of a million young people to take social action through primary and secondary school programmes. The Citizenship Foundation’s curriculum materials have been used by over 80 per cent of UK secondary schools and 50 per cent of primary schools.
Ashoka is the global association of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs — men and women with system changing solutions for the world’s most urgent social problems. Since 1981, Ashoka has elected almost 3,000 leading social entrepreneurs as Ashoka Fellows, providing them with living stipends, professional support, and access to a global network of peers in 70 countries.

WE Day is a celebration of young people making a difference in their local and global communities. WE Schools is the yearlong programme—delivered in more than 2,800 schools across the UK—that challenges young people to identify the local and global issues that spark their passion and then empowers them with the tools to take action. Together they offer young people the tools and the inspiration to take social action, empower others and transform lives—including their own.
The Scouts Association is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 6 to 25 year olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
Young UnLtd backs people aged 11-21 who want to change their world for the better. We do this by providing cash Awards and support to launch projects. We look for projects and people who want to make a change in their world. When we find these people they become Award Winners and their project gets our backing and support.
Future Foundations‘ mission is to develop the social leadership and academic potential of young people. We run one-day and multi-day residential programmes at inspiring venues and offer a full range of services including tailored and bespoke packages.
