Margo Horsley, Forum Member
Margo is a social entrepreneur who uses television and media to achieve high levels of demonstrable audience involvement with an innovative approach to engagement. In 1982 she established Linkline, a social action project with Wiltshire Radio which expanded across the GWR Group of stations. Margo took the Public Service Broadcasting Trust through a transition that extended its remit across the UK. She has secured core funding for the charity, established a working relationship with nine ITV Regional News Teams who give the Trust editorial airtime for their projects and won substantial project funding for the charity. In addition to her TV and radio career Margo is an acknowledged expert in grant-making programme strategy and design. She was part of the first phase team that set up the National Lottery Charities Board in 1995 and has just recently been shortlisted for a Charity Times Award as Principal of the Year.
